SUPPORT STILL NEEDED FOR SB 744-SLOTS AT THE RACE TRACK

Horsemen and Racing Fans:

SB 744 is just one signature away from final passage and we need your support. Governor Quinn continues to say that he wants to hear your opinion on this bill. The Governor states that there are three ways for our collective voice to be heard and to show support for SB 744.

First, there is public poll going on at http://bit.ly/PollGamblingBGAJuly2011. This poll measures how people feel about gaming expansion and a Chicago casino. It is important to vote yes on both questions.

Secondly, e-mail Governor Quinn detailing why we need SB 744 passed. Let him know that our entire horse industry needs support to continue functioning on a competitive level in this industry. Thirdly, if you haven’t mailed a letter to Governor Quinn’s office it is important that you do so. The address is:

In this letter please put down your work experience in the horse racing industry, tell him why it is important to pass this bill, and include your address.
