Special Message to Fellow Horsemen from Michael B. Campbell, President
It is the ITHA’s obligation to represent the majority of licensed personnel at Hawthorne Racecourse and Arlington Park.
There are four components to the ITHA. There is the ITHA, the CTHF, the Benefit Trust, and the newly formed horse rescue component Galloping Out.
My purpose, while in office, is to rid horsemen of $14 million in recapture, bring slots to the tracks, oversee the proper use of the impact fee, and with dedicated resolve represent horsemen’s interest relative to management, Illinois Racing Board regulations, and legislation. My door is always open if you need more information.
The ITHA Board of Directors and Executive Director/ General Counsel Glen E. Berman as director and general counsel have earned horsemen a new voice in regard to legislation, IRB, and track management issues.
The ITHA Board obligates itself to a stronger industry through leadership on behalf of the finest individuals I know, The Horsemen of Illinois.
