The ITHA concluded a productive week in Springfield during the first week of the Fall Veto Session. We met with many legislators including Senate President Cullerton who renewed his commitment to call a bill that includes slots at the tracks. We expect movement on the expanded gaming bill which includes slots at tracks to occur during the second week of the session which starts November 30th.
The ITHA is cautiously optimistic that a bill that includes slots at the tracks will be called either that week or the week of January 3rd before the new general assembly is seated.
