Racing Begins Thursday, March 27

The Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association extends a warm welcome to owners and trainers returning for racing at Hawthorne Race Course this spring.

Racing begins on Thursday, March 27. As we approach the meet, horsemen and horsewomen are reminded:

• It is mandatory to have an up-to-date worker's compensation policy. Please ensure your policy is current and in good standing.

• Maintain complete records for all horses in your barn, including Coggins and vaccine documentation. Additionally, ensure your barn is free of any banned substances to avoid hefty penalties.
