Our Condolences to the Logan Family
John H. Logan, 71, passed away on June 23, 2024, surrounded by family.
He was born June 8, 1953, in Hot Springs, to Herschel and Patricia Logan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Trant; brother, John O'Dwyer; and nephew, Aaron Logan.
John is survived by his siblings, Nancy Muncrief, Bob and Mary Logan, Tony and Cathy Logan, Patrick and Pam Logan, Jamie and Mike Radimer, Andrew Logan; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
John was affectionately known as John, Johnny, Scoot, Logan, Uncle John, Uncle J and most recently, Juncle John, which was his favorite. No matter what you had known him by, he was a treasure. Always good for a story from the past, especially if it had anything to do with horse racing which was his passion since high school. He worked at Oros Brothers as tack repairman. The majority of his adult life was spent in Chicago, living life by his terms, regardless of what anyone else thought. At times, we joked that his horses sometimes ate better than he did, but he was happy and content. He was kind, had a great sense of humor and loved his racetrack buddies like family.
At John's request, there will be a graveside memorial service at 10 a.m. today, July 13, in Calvary Cemetery, officiated by Father Bill Elser.
